Evening Prayer Groups
About Our Evening Prayer Groups
The objective of this group is to ascertain the inculcation of firm faith, love of the church and brotherhood and bring about the spiritual, material and educational upliftment of the people.
"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
A unit consists of 50-60 heads of families and grown-up men. However, the women and children of these families can participate in these meetings. Once in a week (preferably Sunday) the prayer meetings are conducted at a convenient time in different houses or in a common place of convenience.
Each prayer meeting begins with evening prayer followed by hymns and songs. A spiritual message is given by either the vicar or an appointed speaker featuring bible passages. The meeting concludes with a short prayer followed by small refreshment that is sponsored by the host.
Each meeting is conducted under the guidance of our vicar.
Dates and meeting times are posted on the calendar.
